Deciding to utilize a 2-year degree in photography from Cecil College in North East, MD received in 1983, I started freelancing for the York Dispatch here in York, PA in 2001. The demands of newspaper work and the switch to shooting primarily with digital equipment enabled me to raise my skills as a photographer to a higher level, as well as increasing my love of creating images. Although I enjoy different types of photography, my favorite would have to be working with people. The chance to meet new friends is certainly one of the most satisfying aspects of portraiture, both posed and candid. Working with my good friends and excellent photographers, John Pavoncello and Greg Starner, has added wedding photography to that enjoyment.
Since 2007, I have been shooting for the public relations department of WellSpan Health, contributing images for their internal newsletter and website.
